2024 World Week Celebration

During Week 1 of Term 4, we commemorated World Week to acknowledge and celebrate the cultural diversity in our Redeemer community!
The Cultural and Traditions Committee organised a range of activities for both Senior and Junior School students, including manga tutorial, Chinese dumpling-making, dot painting, Bollywood dance tutorial and a Whole College Celebration Service.

The service included cultural presentation, messages and stories from Redeemer families.
• Anna Yu and her family talked about their cultural background and family traditions.
• Ishani Wahegaonkar and Martha Mathew demonstrated a traditional Indian Dance.
• Some Year 5 Japanese and Chinese students sang a song in both languages.
• Aleena De Silva and her brother Alan, along with Leona Li and Katie Li showed a traditional Sri Lanka instrument through storytelling.

Each student brings a unique background, a different story, and a wealth of experiences that enrich our Redeemer community. We believe that diversity is not just about what makes us different, it is about the beauty of those differences coming together.
