Congratulations to Class of 2020 alumnus, Paris Koppens, who is one of only eight students accepted to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design for Performance) at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) for 2022!
Paris worked very hard during her 2021 gap year to produce her portfolio application to the National Institute of Dramatic Art, as well as working three jobs to save money for the move to Sydney. Paris went through two rounds of interviews in the selection process which was finalised in early December. Paris relocated to Sydney in mid-January to commence her program at NIDA in Kensington at the end of January.
Paris attends classes at NIDA Monday to Friday 9.00am - 6.00pm, so it's a very busy program. She aspires to work as a costume and/or set designer on Australian films/TV and in Australian theatre with the potential to work overseas designing for theatre and film.
Paris has settled into Sydney life and the demanding program at NIDA and absolutely loves everything about NIDA. She has already made some wonderful friends with so many like-minded creative people all in the one place.
Paris, we look forward to following your creative journey and what a fabulous inspiration to Redeemer students!
