On Wednesday 26 March the Year 7 cohort, along with 9 staff members, headed to Luther Heights Youth Camp in beautiful Coolum. There was lots of excited chatter on the bus trip there, as students explored their action-filled schedules for the 3 days. We all had a fantastic time, challenging ourselves, getting to know each other better and taking in the stunning natural environment. After three days full of action, the bus trip home was much quieter. - Ms Tamara Rogers
Student Reflections
Camp was an amazing experience, filled with fun, adventure, and learning. But my Favourite part was the team challenge session because it taught me the power of communication, patience, and resilience. At first, no matter how hard we tried, we just couldn’t balance the giant seesaw. We kept tipping over, struggling to stay steady, and it felt like we’d never get it right. But instead of giving up, we kept trying—learning to communicate, staying patient, and working together. In the end, we finally balanced it, proving that teamwork and perseverance can overcome any challenge. - Eesha Chhabra
I found the food the best. There were so many options of different food for breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, as well and dessert and supper. They covered all had tastes. - Suri Sachdeva
The body boarding at camp was really fun. The best part of body boarding was the fact that we got to learn how to body board and put that new skill into action and bodyboard for around an hour and enjoy the sea breeze, salty water, and the soft sand. I'm excited for the current Grade 6's when they go on this camp. - Abigail Hage
Every meal differed, and seconds were always welcome. Best of all, it gave us a chance to make every meal a moment to share about our day and laugh together. - Chelsea Reid
